New World Point Chevalier - Nightfill Operations Manager

We’re looking for an experienced and highly capable Nightfill Operations Manager to lead our Dry Goods replenishment operation through the evening and overnight.

You’ll be responsible for leading the Nightfill team to get stock onto our shelves efficiently, maintaining excellent availability and presentation, and ensuring the store is ready to trade at its best each morning.

Alongside leading Nightfill, you’ll be the senior operational leader in the store overnight, responsible for coordinating the wider store operation, resolving issues and ensuring the store is safely and securely managed overnight.

Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun 7pm-4:30am

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to lead a team, set the pace and get the job done.

You’ll take ownership of the Nightfill operation, including:

• Leading and developing the Nightfill team.
• Planning the nightly workload, team allocation and fill priorities.
• Driving productivity, stock availability and presentation.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting priorities to make sure the fill gets completed.
• Maintaining strong merchandising, rotation and housekeeping standards.
• Taking responsibility for wider store operations overnight.
• Managing customer, Food Safety, Safety & Wellbeing and price integrity issues as required.
• Overseeing store closing and keeping the store secure overnight.
• Receiving and receipting deliveries through Inwards Goods when required.
• Providing clear handovers to the daytime leadership team.
• Working alongside the team and leading from the front.

Experience and skills:

• Supermarket, FMCG or high-volume retail leadership experience preferred.
• Dry Goods, Grocery or Nightfill experience highly advantageous.
• Forklift certified, or willing and able to obtain certification.
• SAP knowledge and an understanding of Checkout, Online and Fresh operations advantageous.
• Good understanding of Food Safety, Safety & Wellbeing and store compliance.
• Physically fit and able to meet the requirements of a hands-on overnight role.
• You must have the current right to work in New Zealand.
