ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Online Manager, is responsible for delivering an outstanding online shopping experience by consistently meeting customer needs, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring high service standards. The role leads, develops, and supports the online team through clear direction, coaching, and engagement, creating a positive, customer‑focused culture while driving performance and results. Some of the key areas for the role will be:

  • Ensure items picked, packed, processed and invoiced for customer’s orders are completed accurately and efficiently by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring that best practise guidelines for best before/use-by dates, weighted items, restricted items and substitutions are followed
  • Ensure orders are labelled and checked, stored securely (within Staging Area), recorded and temperature checked in accordance to Online store policies and operational procedures within a timely manner
  • Communicate with customers to advise of out of stocks, substitutions ,effectively resolve all customer related enquiries and complaint.
  • Plan rosters to meet service needs while managing wage costs.
  • Ensures Foodstuffs New World promotional and pricing programmes are adopted so that the store presents a competitive and brand consistent offer to the market at all times.
  • Ensure lockers are empty and clean after each allocated timeslot, where necessary returning uncollected orders to the appropriate storage areas within the Staging Area
  • Ensure all restricted goods that customers are collecting from the lockers are in accordance with ID checking procedures and policies
  • Assist loading delivery vehicle if required, ensuring that goods are secure and tidy
  • Adhere to the food safety, health & safety and compliance policies and guidelines for Online and the store

 

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

  • Previously lead a team and achieved targets!
  • Previous pick/packing experience
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask to consistently meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
  • Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Comply with our food control plan / health and safety programme
  • Right to work in New Zealand
