Online Manager

About the role:
Our Online Manager is responsible for leading the Online department from end to end, ensuring every customer order is picked accurately, on time, and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coach and develop your team, drive productivity, monitor performance, and continually look for ways to improve the online shopping experience for our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and developing the Online team to achieve operational excellence.
- Managing the day-to-day operation to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Driving department performance through productivity, quality and customer service metrics.
- Training, coaching and supporting team members to achieve their full potential.
- Managing rostering, recruitment, performance and succession planning.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure Online orders are prioritised and customer expectations are exceeded.
- Communicating with customers regarding substitutions, out-of-stocks and order enquiries.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, health and safety, and compliance.
- Contributing ideas and initiatives to continuously grow our Online operation.
About you:
We're looking for someone who is an experienced people leader with a genuine passion for customers and retail. You'll be highly organised, solutions-focused and able to remain calm under pressure while leading a busy team.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous supermarket, retail or FMCG leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong computer literacy and confidence learning new systems.
- The ability to prioritise, multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- A customer-first mindset with high attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- The physical ability to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- The legal right to work in New Zealand.
