Online Personal Shopper

New World Pioneer is a large, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North. With a team that prides ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards across every area of our store.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Online Personal Shopper to join our Online team in a full-time, permanent position. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that plays an important part in ensuring our online customers receive their orders accurately, on time, and to the high standard they expect.

 

About the Role

As an Online Personal Shopper, you'll play a key role in the success of our Online department. You'll be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and processing customer orders while ensuring every order meets our high quality and customer service standards.

 

Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll accurately pick and pack customer orders, prepare them for collection or delivery, and assist with our online delivery service. You'll communicate with customers when required, make suitable product substitutions, and help create a seamless online shopping experience from start to finish.

About You

The successful applicant will have:

 

• Previous supermarket or retail experience (preferred)
• A minimum of a restricted New Zealand driver's licence
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Basic computer and maths skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of customer orders
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Physically fit and capable of being on your feet for long periods and lifting shopping orders

Experience in an online shopping or personal shopping role would be advantageous but is not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

 

 

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position working:

 

• Sunday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Monday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
• Tuesday: 11:30am – 7:00pm
• Wednesday: 11:20am – 7:00pm
• Thursday: Off
• Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Saturday: Off
