Online Shopping/ Supermarket Assistant- NW Stratford

About the Role
As an Online Shopping Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive the same high-quality service online that they enjoy in-store. You'll be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders while maintaining the highest standards of freshness, quality, and presentation.
As part of a busy supermarket team, you'll also support our Grocery department when needed, helping with shelf replenishment, stock presentation, and ensuring products are available for both in-store and online customers.
This is a busy and rewarding role that requires excellent organisation, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer online shopping orders.
- Select high-quality, fresh products that meet customer expectations.
- Ensure orders are completed efficiently and on time.
- Handle customer enquiries and substitutions professionally and courteously.
- Prepare orders for collection or delivery according to company procedures.
- Maintain excellent food safety, health and safety, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock availability and communicate product shortages where required.
- Work collaboratively with team members across all store departments.
- Assist with general department housekeeping and organisation.
- Help create a seamless and positive shopping experience for our online customers.
- Assist with replenishing grocery shelves and maintaining stock availability throughout the store.
- Ensure grocery aisles are well presented, tidy, and accurately priced.
- Support the wider store team during busy periods and seasonal peaks.
- Help identify out-of-stock items and communicate stock issues to the appropriate teams.
- Assist with general merchandising and stock rotation to maintain high store standards.
About You
You'll be someone who:

- Is reliable, honest, and has strong attention to detail.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities.
- Is physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Has good time management and organisational skills.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Is flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Takes pride in accuracy and delivering high standards of work.
Previous supermarket, retail, warehouse, or hospitality experience is advantageous, but not essential. If you bring a great attitude and willingness to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
