Type: Full-time 5 days a week including 1 weekend day

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our supermarket. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the store operates efficiently, delivers an outstanding customer experience, and achieves strong commercial results.

You will lead from the front—coaching teams, managing store performance, and maintaining high operational standards across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring a smooth, safe, and efficient environment
• Lead, coach, and develop department managers and wider store teams
• Deliver excellent customer service standards and drive a customer-first culture
• Manage rosters, labour, and productivity to meet business targets
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, wages, and key KPIs
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food safety, and store policies
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, availability, and presentation
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and store performance
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of staff
• Work closely with the Store Owner to execute business plans

• Proven experience in a supermarket or retail leadership role
• Strong people leadership and team development skills
• Solid understanding of retail operations, stock management, and merchandising
• Commercial mindset with experience managing budgets and KPIs
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
