Overnight Chef, Deli | New World Te Atatū

We opened in August. We are the only supermarket on the peninsula. Everything in our deli is made here, overnight.

Ngā haora / The hours

6pm to 3am. Wednesday and Thursday nights off.

 

 

Te mahi / The job

Meals and ready to go food are your main focus, along with cut fruit and produce preparation.

 

You cook it, portion it, pack it, label it and get it into the chillers before we open at 7am. Food safety checks and temperature logs as you go, then a clean bench for the day team.

 

Ko koe / You

You have cooked commercially. Restaurant, hotel, catering, production kitchen, supermarket, we do not mind where. You can work at volume without the quality dropping off, and you can run a night without someone standing over you.

 

You need enough English to work off a production sheet, fill in the food safety records and talk to your team.

Trained overseas? That counts. You do not need New Zealand experience.
