Part Time Assistants (Student-Friendly)

We have a few part time positions that are perfect for student availability currently at PAK'nSAVE Hastings! All positions have great hours and days that allow you to have a great work/life balance, across 3 different departments: Checkout Department, Deli/Bakery Department and Dry Goods! The positions with a brief description of the role are as follows. Please ensure upon application that you indicate specifically which position(s) you are expressing interest in:

Checkout Assistant: responsible for providing an accurate, efficient and pleasant service at the front end ensuring customers and colleagues experience the highest possible standards of service. You will appreciate the importance of creating a positive customer experience and thrive on getting positive feedback from your customers. Serving customers, processing transactions of money and doing so with a smile!

Position 1 - 8 hours total:

• Saturday 5.00pm-9.00pm
• Sunday 4.30pm-8.30pm

Position 2 - 8 hours total:

• Friday and Sunday 5.00pm-9.00pm

Position 3 - 12 hours total:

• Tuesday 4.00pm-9.00pm
• Thursday 4.30pm-8.30pm
• Saturday 4.30pm-8.30pm

Fresh Food Assistant = Deli/Bakery Department: tasksinclude making pizzas, cooking chickens and presenting them to customers, cleaning, packaging and pricing baked bread rolls, cakes, loaves, biscuits ect. The role of a Fresh Food Assistant covers merchandising/filling the front cabinet, as well as interacting with customers and abiding by Health & Safety regulations. 

Position 4 - 12 hours total:

• Monday 4.30pm-8.30pm
• Sunday 6.00am-2.30pm

Position 5 - 12 hours total:

• Wednesday 4.30pm-8.30pm
• Sunday 6.00am-2.30pm

Dry Goods Assistant = Grocery + Chilled/Frozen Department: tasks include ensuring the shelves are appropriately stocked and are looking full and fresh, unloading, decanting and retrieving stock from the Storeroom as required for optimal shelf fullness, rotating stock accurately to ensure we meet food safety standards and trolley collection in customer carpark

Position 6 - 13.5 hours total:

• Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 4.00pm-9.00pm

Position 7 - 13.5 hours total:

• Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 4.00pm-9.00pm

Position 8 - 13.5 hours total:

• Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 4.00pm-9.00pm

Position 9 - 13.5 hours total:

• Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 4.00pm-9.00pm
