New World Tawa is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Part-Time Checkout Supervisor to join our front-end team.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting a team, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced supermarket environment.

About the role:

As a Checkout Supervisor, you will support the Checkout Manager with the day-to-day running of the checkout area, ensuring customers receive a positive and efficient shopping experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising checkout staff and supporting them during shifts

   

   

• Providing outstanding customer service and resolving customer queries

   

   

• Managing breaks and staff cover

   

   

• Handling cash and end-of-day processes

   

   

• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed

   

   

• Maintaining a tidy, safe, and well-organised checkout area

   

   

• Previous supermarket or customer service experience (supervisory experience preferred)

   

   

• Strong communication and leadership skills

   

   

• A positive, can-do attitude

   

   

• Ability to remain calm under pressure
