About the role

We’re looking for two energetic, customer-focused Deli Assistants to bring warmth, efficiency, and great service to our popular deli counter.

From roast chickens to specialty cheeses, fresh salads, hot meals, platters and custom orders - you’ll be hands-on in preparing, presenting, and serving delicious food that keeps our customers coming back for more.

What you’ll be doing:

• Serving customers with a friendly, helpful attitude
• Preparing and cooking fresh food items for the deli and hot cabinet
• Stocking and merchandising deli displays so they always look full
• Setting up the cabinet and hot box each day
• Maintaining strict food safety standards at all times
• Keeping the deli area clean, organised, and inviting through daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines

About you

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have previous experience working with fresh food
• Have experience cooking or preparing food in a food service, deli, café, or similar environment
• Are reliable and take pride in your work
• Have great communication skills and a passion for customer service
• Work well under pressure and as part of a team
• Are organised, motivated, and positive in your approach
• Can do moderate lifting and are comfortable working in a busy environment
• Are flexible to pick up extra shifts when needed

Rostered days and times

Position One: 4 days (32 hours)

Thursday - Sunday, 5:00am - 1:30pm

Days off: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Position Two: 3 days (24 hours)

Saturday - Monday, 5:00am - 1:30pm

Days off: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
