Part time grocery/chilled assistants


New World Pioneer is a large, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North, with a team that prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service.

We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Scannable Assistants, working across our Grocery, Chilled and Liquor Departments.

These part-time positions are perfect for university students looking to gain valuable work experience while maintaining their academic commitments, and/or parents looking to supplement their household income.

We currently have multiple positions available with the following shifts:

 

Position 1

  • Monday: 7pm – 10pm
  • Friday: 5pm – 10.30pm

 

2 x Position 2
  • Sunday: 7pm – 10.30pm
  • Tuesday: 6pm – 10pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work across our Grocery, Chilled and Liquor Departments.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate handling of stock while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
  • Assist with organising and maintaining a well-organised stockroom.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Available over holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
  • Ability to handle chilled and frozen products while following safety guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards with an eye for detail
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Physically fit and healthy
