Part Time Scannable Assistants

New World Pioneer is a large, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North. We employ a team of 200+ who pride themselves on delivering exceptional Customer Service. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Scannable Assistants.

This part-time position is perfect for university students looking to gain valuable work experience while maintaining their academic commitments, and/or parents looking to supplement their household income.

We have Multiple Positions available. Below are the shifts available, ideally the applicant would be able to complete at least two shifts including a weekend day.

Sunday:

2.00pm – 10.30pm

5.30-10.30pm

Tuesday:

1.30pm- 10pm

7pm-10pm

Wednesday:

6pm – 10pm

7pm-10pm

Thursday:

6pm -10pm

6pm-10pm

Friday:

5.30-10.30pm

5.30-10.30pm

Saturday:

6pm – 9pm

6pm-9pm

Responsibilities:

• Work in our grocery Department.
• Ensure efficient and accurate handling of stock, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining a well-organized stockroom.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

• Availability to work one weekend shift
• Available over holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Ability to handle chilled and frozen products following safety guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of stocktaking procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
