Part Time Scannables Assistants

New World Pioneer is a large, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North.  We employ a team of 200+ who pride themselves on delivering exceptional Customer Service. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Scannables Assistants.

This part-time position is perfect for students looking to gain valuable work experience while maintaining their academic commitments, and/or parents looking to supplement their household income.

We have Four Part Time Positions available. Below are the shifts available, ideally the applicant would be able to complete one weekday and One Sunday Shift.

Hours Available:

Monday

7pm-10pm

Tuesday

7pm-10pm

7pm-10pm

Friday

2pm-10.30pm

Sunday

7.30pm -10.30pm

7.30pm-10.30pm

7pm-10.30pm

7pm-10.30pm

Responsibilities:

• Work in our Scannables Department.
• Ensure efficient and accurate handling of stock, maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining a well-organized stockroom.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

• Availability to work one Sunday shift
• Available over holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Ability to handle chilled and frozen products following safety guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of stocktaking procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
