Permanent Butchery Packer

Are you reliable, hardworking, and keen to build a career in the food industry? We’re looking for a Permanent Butchery Packer to join our team at New World Tawa.

This is a hands-on role in a busy butchery department, with the potential to progress into a Butchery Apprenticeship for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• Packing, wrapping and labelling meat products
• Stocking and presenting products to a high standard
• Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards within the department
• Assisting with stock rotation and keeping displays well stocked
• Supporting the butchery team with day-to-day department tasks
• Providing friendly customer service when required

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, motivated and willing to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Committed to high standards of food safety and presentation
• Interested in developing their skills and potentially progressing into a Butchery Apprenticeship
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand

Previous supermarket, food handling or butchery experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right person.
