Pick Pack Supervisor
We are looking for a Pick Team Supervisor to work alongside and set the standard for our big Pick Packing operations at Gilmours Central

We are looking for a Pick Supervisor to help us deliver on our promise to be the most trusted foodservice provider in NZ.
The Role;
- Lead the team’s operation to ensure orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
- Set clear expectations at the start of each shift and drive execution throughout
- Monitor pick rates, accuracy, and workflow — and take action alongside other management where standards aren’t met
- Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and fix them
- Coach team members in real time to improve performance and capability
- Address underperformance early through direct, constructive conversations
- Recognize strong performance and reinforce high standards
- Support the team during peak workload periods while maintaining leadership oversight
- Ensure correct SAP/EWM processes are followed at all times
- Maintain strong Health & Safety practices across the team
- Act as the key link between the Pick Team and department leadership

What are we looking for;
- Previous experience in a Foodservice or grocery warehousing role.
- Confidence to challenge team behaviour and performance when standards aren’t met
- Strong leadership presence on the floor
- Ability to coach, develop, and improve others
- A high standard mindset — you don’t walk past issues
- Clear, direct communication and ability to have tough conversations
- Good time management and Strong organization with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A hands-on approach with ability to step in when required
- 42.5 hours per week. Sunday to Thursday 4pm to 1am.
Tasks involved;
- Lead daily pick meetings
- Upskill team members and support development of cross-functional capabilities.
- Ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency remain top priorities in all planning decisions.
- Support the Pick Manager and other Pick Supervisors with performance management
- This role requires actively managing performance, including addressing underperformance and challenging behaviours. If you’re not comfortable having these conversations, this role won’t be the right fit.
