Produce 2IC / Assistant Manager

Do you have an eye for excellent quality and a passion for fruit and vegetables?  Are you focused on providing amazing produce for our customers? Do you have experience in leading and motivating others?

With are currently seeking a Produce 2IC / Assistant Manager to be part of the team!

The Role:

• Listen to customers to find out what they want and need in one simple shop
• Work with our Produce Manager to plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations of the fresh produce department
• Manage staff, stock, and merchandise
• Ensure staff are well trained to provide the best overall shopping experience for our customers
• Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results
• Support our Produce Manager to lead the team and support other teams as needed
• Have a strong Safety and Well-being focus and support the company focus and goals
• Full time - approximately 43.5 hours per week, including a weekend day and being flexible to work around business and team needs especially at our peak times

What are we looking for:

• Proven retail experience at a supervisor level or higher
• Strong experience using SAP is advantageous but not required
• Reliable, self-motivated and a great team player
• Sound computer literacy and keen to learn and use the latest technology
• Great people and leadership skills
