Due to internal promotion we’re looking for an experienced Produce 2IC / Assistant Manager to help lead our fresh produce department and continue delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

🥦 The Role

Working closely with the Produce Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in the day-to-day success of the department.

You will:

• Lead from the front to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Plan and coordinate daily operations within the produce department
• Manage staff, stock, and merchandising to a high standard
• Train and support team members to be their best
• Ensure displays are fresh, full, and visually appealing
• Build strong relationships across the wider team and leadership
• Support the Produce Manager and step up when required
• Promote and uphold Health & Safety and Wellbeing standards

Hours:

Full-time (approx. 43.5 hours per week), including one weekend day and flexibility to support peak trading periods.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Proven retail leadership experience (supervisor level or above)
• A passion for fresh produce, quality, and presentation
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others
• Reliable, self-motivated, and a committed team player
• Good computer literacy (SAP experience advantageous but not essential)
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow
