If you are looking for your next challenge, we need someone to support the Produce Manager by keeping the fruit and vegetables looking full and fresh, assisting with ordering where required and ensuring the quality is always great! You will need to be committed to learning and maintaining our high standards, have excellent communication skills, proven customer service skills, able to work independently and as part of a team. Determination to work hard and the attitude to succeed in a demanding environment is a must. Key traits we will be seeking are punctuality, flexibility, honesty and reliability.

The role will form part of the fresh foods team covering produce and sometimes helping with butchery, seafood and dry goods. Potentially could end up helping at the checkout if we are short. Personal development opportunities will be available to the right candidate. 

This is a full-time role, with days and times as follows:

Tuesday 11.00am - 6.30pm

Wednesday 5.30am - 12.30pm

Thursday 11.00am - 6.30pm

Friday 11.00am - 6.30pm

Saturday 5.00am - 12.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

 Ensuring the produce area in the store is well stocked, clean and tidy.

 Keeping out the back neat, tidy, rotated, and have a good understanding of stock levels.

 Assisting with ordering and stock management.

 Supporting the Produce Manager with any tasks required.

 Providing outstanding service for our customers and following through on any queries.

 Is helpful, knowledgeable and efficient.

 Supermarket or large retail experience is an advantage but not essential.

 You demonstrate a positive attitude, attention to detail and have a high level of integrity.

 You are motivated and productive and can use initiative to keep busy.

 You take pride in your work and maintain high compliance standards at all times.

 Have an understanding of New Zealand Food Safety standards
