Produce Assistant Manager
The primary role of the Produce Assistant Manager is to assist the Department Manager to plan, lead, communicate, organize and control the day-to-day running of the produce department achieve the highest possible standards so that our customers receive an outstanding shopping experience. To assist also in maximizing sales and achieving specified profit margins whilst managing expenses, stock levels.
To be successful you must have a passion for providing excellent customer service. Be a detail minded self-starter, be able to multi-task/prioritize and have the ability to follow through in a timely manner.
This position would suit someone who has ambition to perform at a high level, brings knowledge and ideas, whilst adding to the existing culture in our store and aligning with our store values. You will be a role model for others to follow, displaying high presentation standards, honesty and an excellent work ethic.

Desired qualifications, experience, skills and attributes required for this role are:
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with team members and customers. Ensuring customer service standards, and quality are met
- Well-developed planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Well-developed relationship builder and problem solver
- Previous relevant Retail Experience at a supervisory or assistant manager level
- Experience in SAP stock management systems (an advantage although we are willing to train the right person)
- Previous ordering experience and product knowledge/ merchandising
- Relevant Business Qualification
- Undertake necessary administrative functions of the role
- Process focused whilst consistently delivering high standards, an eye for detail, innovative and adaptable
- Commitment to good Health & Safety and Food Safety practices
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Strong communication (verbal and written)
- Good basic math skills
- Healthy and physically fit to work in a fast-paced team
- Reliable team player able to work early starts and/or late finishes with flexibility to work non rostered days as required
