Produce Assistant Manger

New World Feilding is looking for a keen, cheerful, reliable person to join our Produce Team on a full-time basis as an Assistant Manager

You will be working with a committed and motivated team who prides themselves on the quality produce and service we offer our customers here at New World.

Your main duties will include:

• assisting the Produce Manager with quality control of products as they are delivered and also displayed in the store.
• buying stock and negotiating prices from suppliers on a daily basis with the expectation of standing in for the Produce Manager in their absence.
• setting pricing and monitoring Gross Profit of items sold
• Replenishing stock
• Unloading and Lifting produce
• Helping customers
• Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times

Here's what you'll need:

• To be physically fit – you’ll be on your feet all day, lifting, and moving
• Regularly lifting heavy crates 20kg or more
• Fast on your feet you'll need to move around the store quickly to keep up
• Customer service driven – you’ll spend a lot of time helping our customers
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be reliable, we are a close team and you’ll be missed if you’re not here!
• Have a good work ethic
• Be able to work well under pressure
• Cope with the seasonal demands of working in a small team
