Produce Assistant

New World The Sands has joined the Papamoa community! With a brand-new store and impressive offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we ‘ve had a great first year of trading!

We are seeking a Produce Assistant to join the team working 30 hours over four days Friday - Monday. As part of the Produce team, you’ll play an integral part in delivering an awesome shopping experience for our community. 

As Produce Assistant you will:

• Report into the Produce Manager, helping to ensure department targets and operational delivery standards are met or exceeded.
• Ensure the department is full, fresh and appealing throughout the hours of trade and that stock levels are controlled appropriately.
• Deliver an excellent level of customer service to ensure the best shopping experience for our customers.

What we’re looking for:

• Has a passion for fresh produce and a good eye for quality and presentation.
• Previous experience in produce or supermarkets is advantageous.
• Has proven customer service experience.
• Forklift license advantageous.
