Produce Assistant

We are currently looking for a Produce Assistant to join our busy store New World located in Waihi. We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service.

This is a Full-time Permanent position.

Hours & Days of work will be as following:

Monday: 7am - 3:30pm

Tuesday: 10am - 6:30pm

Friday: 12:30pm - 9:00pm

Saturday: 12:30 - 9:00pm

 Great pay rate for the right person.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting in the loading and unloading of produce trucks / deliveries in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring all inwards goods are marked off, temperature checked and put away appropriately thereby reducing wastage, mark-downs and stock loss. 
• Assisting in the packing of produce as required.
• Ensuring the displays / shelves are appropriately stocked and relevant merchandising standards are always maintained.
• Ensuring appropriate stock rotation.
• To keep the department’s sanitation and cleanliness at or above the standard.

Applicants need to be able to demonstrate:

• Physical strength and fitness. This role requires a lot of repetitive heavy lifting, up to 25kg.
• Work at good pace.
• Keeping our produce fully stocked and displayed beautifully. Take pride in your work.
