Do you have a passion for high-quality, fresh produce and a successful track record in leadership? If so, New World Tawa have an exciting opportunity for a Produce Manager to join the team.

 

About the role

As Produce Manager you will be accountable for the smooth running of the produce department. You will lead, mentor, and inspire your team and ensure the department is maintained to a high standard.

  • Ensure sales, growth and profit targets for the department are met or exceeded.
  • Control ordering through effective use of in-store purchasing systems.
  • Control all department costs – in line with parameters set out by store owner.
  • Ensure department range matches format and customer service requirements.
  • Ensure operational delivery standards are met or exceeded through sufficient stock level and department merchandising.
  • Recruitment, training and performance management of team.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience at management or 2IC level within a retail environment.
  • Seasonal produce and category understanding.
  • Previous experience within a produce department is desirable. 
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Capable of leading and inspiring a team.
  • Solid knowledge of health & safety and food safety policies.
