New World Churton Park is looking for a Produce Manager to lead one of the most important departments in our store.

Produce is one of the first things customers see when they walk in. It needs to be fresh, full, well presented and ready for trade every day. We are looking for a hands on leader who takes pride in quality, leads from the front and knows how to run a strong fresh department.

This role could suit an experienced Produce Manager or a strong fresh foods leader ready to step up.

What you will be doing

• Leading the Produce team day to day
• Ordering, stock control and managing availability
• Building strong displays and maintaining high presentation standards
• Managing waste, margin and department performance
• Rostering and helping ensure productive labour use
• Coaching and developing your team
• Leading from the floor during busy trade

What we are looking for

• Experience in produce, fresh foods or supermarket leadership
• A strong eye for quality, freshness and presentation
• Good commercial judgement
• Confidence leading a team and setting standards
• Strong organisation and planning skills
• A hands on approach and willingness to lead by example
