QUALIFIED BUTCHER & BUTCHERY MEAT PACKER ROLES
PAK'nSAVE ROTORUA's Butchery department is on the hunt for a qualified Butcher with experience in the meat industry, to join them on their mission to provide the best selection of the freshest meat we can offer! We also have a meat packer role available for someone who has a keen eye for detail and great customer service skills.

QUALIFIED BUTCHER
Our Butchery is renowned for providing customers with high quality cuts of meat at great value for money and with friendly personable service. It's a very fast-paced environment with the department processing tonnes of product every week! You'll join a team committed to maintaining quality meat cuts and top presentation standards to our valued customers. If you have a recognized butchery qualification and previous experience working in a butchery, then you are who we are looking for. This will be a chance to develop your skills and make your mark in a high-volume environment. We believe in supporting our team members to grow within the business, and this role could be your stepping stone to greater opportunities. This is a permanent full time position with days and hours of work to be discussed at the interview and will require working one weekend shift.
BUTCHERY MEAT PACKER
As a Meat Packer you will assist in the day-to-day running of our butchery department, ensuring that a maximum range, and sufficient quantity of high-quality fresh meat is always available, as well as keeping the department clean, tidy, and attractively presented. You may be working on the front cabinet so an eye for detail and being able to work at a fast pace is beneficial. This is a permanent full time position with days and hours of work to be discussed at the interview and will require working one weekend shift.
Both roles require:
- A committed and enthusiastic individual with a positive "lead by example" attitude.
- An understanding of production requirements within a high-volume FMCG/retail environment. The ability to work quickly to process large volumes of meat daily.
- Being able to deliver exceptional customer service.
- A great work ethic, a reliable and supportive team member, with the ability to comply with our strict food safety and health and safety policies.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality history.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Candidates must be able to work a weekend day each week.
