Qualified Butcher-Bay of Islands
The Role:
Permanent Full-Time Position, 40hrs+per week, 5 days per week.
As a qualified, experienced Butcher you will assist in the day to day running of our Butchery department, working with a dedicated team of eight. You will be responsible for:
- Correctly & efficiently breaking bones, slicing and cutting all meat whilst reducing wastage and maximising GP/CTP.
- Assisting in the traying up of meat and setting up serve over as required.
- Ensuring the meat cases and freezers are appropriately stocked and relevant merchandising standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensuring all customer special orders are prepared to agreed timeframes.
- Enhancing the image of the department by implementation of agreed standards of display and presentation of stock.
- Assisting in ensuring all appropriate cleaning and stocktaking is completed.
- Effectively resolving all customer related enquiries.
- Ensuring all food safety standards are maintained.

What we are looking for:
- Foodstuffs Butchery Apprenticeship Graduate or Trade Certificate.
- Previous butchery experience.
- Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Consistently demonstrates honesty and integrity in all dealings with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
