We’re excited to announce that New World Te Atatū will be opening its doors week commencing 10th August 2026, offering a new full-service modern supermarket and creating 90 new roles for the Peninsula

We’re now looking for qualified butcherswho take pride in preparing highquality cuts and delivering consistent results from day one. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brandnew store, where your butchery expertise, attention to detail, and strong work ethic will help set the standard and create great experiences for our customers from the moment we open our doors.

Te Tūranga – About the role

  • Ensure the meat cases and freezers are appropriately stocked and maintained.  
  • Correctly and efficiently slice and cut all meat whilst reducing wastage and maximizing GP.  
  • Assist in the traying up of meat as required.  
  • Maintain daily operation in collaboration with the Butchery Manager. 
  • Ensure all customer special orders are prepared to agreed timeframes.    
  • Follow H&S, Food Safety, and store procedures.     
  • Ensure high presentation standards for the butchery department & store.

  • Qualified Butcher and/or equivalent experience.
  • Reliable, honest, and a good team player.  
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.   
  • Confidence & maturity to work unassisted at times.
