Qualified / Experienced Cake & Sweet Baker

PAK’nSAVE Whanganui is looking for a Qualified or Experienced Cake & Sweet Baker to join our Bakery team. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering products our customers love.

About the Role

Working Sunday to Thursday, you will be responsible for producing a wide range of cakes, sweet goods, and bakery products to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, baking, decorating, and finishing cakes and sweet products
• Producing products to recipes and quality specifications
• Maintaining attractive product displays and presentation standards
• Ensuring products are available and fresh for our customers
• Assisting with department cleaning and housekeeping duties
• Supporting the wider Bakery team as required

What We Are Looking For

You will:

• Hold a baking qualification and/or have proven experience as a Cake or Sweet Baker
• Have strong cake decorating and finishing skills
• Be passionate about producing high-quality bakery products
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
• Work well within a team environment
• Have good communication skills
• Be physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment
