Retail Assistant - Full Time

We have unique positions created within our store called a "Retail Assistant". Unlike the rest of our staff and employees who are rostered to and employed in definite Departments, this role is to report to the Assistant Store Manager and work with them by being assigned to different areas or Departments to work in during your work week. Is it Meat Week in Butchery? You may be assigned to help fill the cabinet! Does the online team have a staff member away on leave? You may help out in Online!

The hours & days for this position are:

• Tuesday to Saturday - 10:30am - 7:00pm (40 Hours per week)

Your tasks could include:

• Serving customers
• Helping with stock movement in the Inwards Goods Department using pallet jacks and forklifts
• Ensuring pricing and ticketing is correct
• Stocking shelves/displays in relevant Department - merchandising fruit, meat, hot chickens, bread, milk, ice cream, grocery items
• Personal Shopping for Click & Collect
• Collecting customer trolleys

• A great working attitude and ability to interact with customers
• Absolute reliability 
• Some physical work is involved, with lots of lifting and stacking, so a good level of fitness and strength is required for all tasks listed - examples of products that may require strength to lift/move/stock are bags of potatoes, a box of 6 1.5L Coke, sacks of rice, crate of pumpkins etc.
