Sales Representative


Want to help us become Hawkes Bay’s preferred foodservice partner? We are looking for a Sales Representative to drive Sales in the Hawkes Bay market.

We are a proudly locally owned and operated wholesale food and beverage supplier working with foodservice customers across the greater Hawkes Bay region. The Role:

  • A diverse customer base, with a strong focus on driving customer growth and engagement in the takeaway, fast food and ethnic trade channels. 
  • Represent Gilmours in the market with professionalism, energy, and a focus on creating win-win partnerships.
  • Customer driven role, prioritizing the wants and needs of our customers to deliver commercial outcomes that help achieve their business goals.
  • Develop strong and long-lasting relationships as well as identifying and converting new opportunities to help drive top line growth.
  • Build relationships with the wider Gilmours and Foodstuffs team to ensure the very best results for our customers.
  • Be comfortable analyzing customer data and using insights to create strategies to grow your customer base

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in a sales or business development role, preferably with exposure to the foodservice, takeaway, or ethnic food channel. The ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese is preferred but not a requirement.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to listen and come up with customer driven solutions.
  • A genuine interest in food trends and cuisines, especially those driving growth in ethnic and takeaway markets.

  • A proactive, self-motivated and energetic attitude with a drive to exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
