We have a team of over 170 highly passionate and dedicated individuals that make sure our customers get a great customer experience, which is why we are looking for a passionate, customer focused Inventory Controller to manage the accuracy of the inventory ledger and inventory data

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our SAP Data Champion, you will be responsible for the overall accuracy of the SAP inventory data by employing quality control methods and processes, as well as procedural review across inventory transactions.  Some of the key areas for the role will be:

•  Ensure thorough data integrity that “on shelf” availability for our customers is optimal, and in doing so investigate, and categorise out of stock issues on shelf.
• Analyse SAP Inventory Data variations working back through processes to determine root causes, to enable correct process/data issues.
• Liaise with appropriate buyers over all forecasted replenishment settings that are impacting on shelf availability.
• Create, plan & carry out cycle counts as required.  Ensure the counts remain on schedule and counting deadlines are met.
• Summarise and report to Store Management on a weekly basis on defined key metrics.
• Assist in the listing and locating of products that are new lines or when shelf relays are completed.
• Assist in processing parked invoices in SAP in a timely manner as well as assisting in the monthly high-risk and fresh foods cycle counts.
• Be available to assist and review “back-door” (Storeroom) receipting  operations and recommend process improvement when required.
• Assist with pricing compliance instore.
• Follow Health and Safety Policy, Food Safety Policy and compliance procedures in the store.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

Here is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

• Previous SAP experience and background in inventory management is a MUST!
• Retail or supermarket experience to a supervisory level ideal
• Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels and computer literate
• Comply with our food control plan / health and safety programme
• Right to work in New Zealand
