Seafood Assistant


We are looking for a full-time Seafood Assistant to join our Seafood Department at Pak’nSave Māngere. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with fresh products and takes pride in maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and food safety.

Roster / Days
Tuesday to Saturday
Sunday and Monday off
Hours will be discussed with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and handling of seafood products
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all times
  • Follow daily Safe Food Pro procedures and Health & Food Safety requirements
  • Ensure seafood displays are well presented, fresh and fully stocked
  • Support cleaning routines and correct handling of equipment and work areas
  • Carry out Good Receipting practices and stock handling accurately
  • Work efficiently to meet daily operational requirements and customer demand
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service when required

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous seafood or food handling experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Strong focus on food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
  • Understanding of Safe Food Pro processes is preferred
  • Ability to follow cleaning procedures and maintain a high level of cleanliness
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
