Are you passionate about seafood and delivering great customer experiences? We are seeking two friendly, reliable Seafood Assistants to join our supermarket team on a part-time basis. In this hands-on role, you’ll be involved in the preparation, display, and sale of fresh seafood. Working closely with the department manager, you’ll help ensure our seafood section is always clean, well-stocked, and inviting. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and presentation of fresh seafood displays.
• Receiving seafood deliveries and ensuring all products are handled, stored, and displayed correctly.
• Monitoring product quality and freshness, removing any items past their best, and rotating stock as needed.
• Ensuring seafood cases are full, clean, and attractively presented at all times
• Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Providing excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with seafood selection, preparation advice, and answering questions.
• Performing manual handling tasks, including lifting seafood boxes (up to 15kg) and replenishing displays as required.
• Assisting in the Butchery department when needed.

• Able to maintain high standards of presentation
• Follow store procedures and Health & Safety/ Food safety requirements

There are two part-time positions: Position One: Sunday - Wednesday 2:30 pm - 8:00 pm, Position Two: Thursday - Saturday 2:30 pm - 8:00 pm, totalling 20 hours per position per week. Flexibility will be required to meet key business needs. Please note we do not have staff parking. However, the main Bus and Train stations are located a 5-minute walk from the store.
