Seafood Supervisor


We’reexcited to announce that New World Te Atatū will be opening its doors August 2026, offering a new full-service modern supermarketand creating 90 new roles for the Peninsula.

We're looking for an experienced Seafood Supervisor to join our brand-new team. You'll work closely with our seafood manager to create a vibrant and customer-focused department. If you're passionate about fresh food, exceptional service and have previous experience working in seafood, this could be a great opportunity for you!

  • Part-time - 30 hours
  • One weekend day work required

Te Tūranga – About the role

  • Help with the day-to-day running of our seafood department.
  • Ensure seafood case is merchandised to the highest standard with fresh and quality product.
  • Manage stock levels and minimize wastage.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, listening to what the community wants and delivering on it.
  • Maintain high food safety and health & safety standards.
  • Seafood preparation and cutting.

  • Experience in seafood with great product knowledge.
  • Previous supermarket experience.
  • A passion for delivering quality and freshness
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety standards
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude
