Join Our Team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Service Deli Buyer to join our Service Deli team. As a Service Deli Buyer, some of your responsibilities will be purchasing and managing a wide range of deli products, including meats, cheeses, and specialty items. You will work closely with the department manager to ensure that our Service Deli department is consistently stocked with high-quality, fresh products. Your keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills will help maintain accurate inventory levels, minimise waste, and ensure full shelves through effective merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing departmental ordering and receipting.
  • Receiving deliveries and ensuring stock is accounted for and correctly put away.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, placing orders, and ensuring timely deliveries to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensuring shelves are full and product availability at all times
  • Managing parked invoices, updating costings, and working with BI reports through SAP (training will be provided).
  • Supporting Deli customer service requirements within the department when needed.
  • Performing regular manual handling tasks, including lifting 12kg chicken cartons and 20kg ham cartons while receiving and storing stock.

About You:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ideally, experience in food retail buying or a similar role (deli experience highly regarded, but not required)
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude who will help the team
  • Confident using computers and inventory systems (SAP knowledge a plus)

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, totalling 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility will be required to meet key business needs. Remuneration to be discussed at the interview.
