Service Deli / Seafood Manager


We are on the hunt for our next Seafood and/or Deli Manager! 

Are you passionate about food and skilled in team leadership? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a talented and experienced Service Deli Manager and a Seafood Manager to lead our departments. 

As the Service Deli Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department, including ordering, inventory management, pricing, and sales. You will also be responsible for managing a team of Service Deli assistants and ensuring exceptional customer service is provided.

As the Seafood Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department, including ordering, inventory management, pricing, and sales. You will also be responsible for managing a team of Seafood assistants and ensuring exceptional customer service is provided.

To excel in the roles, you should have a deep understanding and a passion for quality and sustainability. You should also have experience managing a team and driving sales in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the ordering, receiving, and inventory management
  • Set prices and manage margins to ensure profitability, manage KPI’s and GP's
  • Train and manage a team to provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and meet department goals
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
 Qualifications:

 

 

  • Supermarket or FMCG experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of products and sustainability practices
  • Computer literate - SAP knowledge preferred
  • Unit standards 167, 168 and 497 preferred
  • Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
  • Leading and managing a team
  • Customer service skills
  • Proven ability to deal with people of all cultures
  • Be a team player and a problem solver
  • A good understanding of HACCP Excellent communication skills
  • Have health and safety, and food compliance experience
  • Drive and motivation to improve the department and take it to another level
