Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40+ hours per week, including one weekend day)

About the Role

As the Service Deli Manager, you will be the driving force behind our fresh food offerings. You will lead, mentor, and roster a dedicated team while ensuring every customer receives an unforgettable experience. From showcasing premium cheeses and meats to driving mouth-watering hot deli sales, this is a key leadership role where your passion for food and people will shape our store’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & Inspire: Train, roster, and develop your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Quality & Merchandising: Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and visual merchandising.
• Stock Control: Manage department ordering, inventory, stock rotation, and minimize shrinkage.
• Compliance: Enforce strict Safety & Wellbeing, and Food Safety practices across the department.
• Drive Profitability: Achieve sales targets and manage department expenses.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous management or supervisory experience in a deli, fresh foods, FMCG, or hospitality environment.
• A passion for food and a keen eye for detail and presentation.
• Strong communication skills with a positive, motivating attitude.
• Sound knowledge of inventory control and in-store purchasing systems.
• Creative flare for product development & innovation.
• Tech-savvy with experience using SAP, Storeline & Safefood Pro
