We are now looking for a detail‑focused and proactive Stock Controller to join our team.
About the Role
As our Stock Controller, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, visibility, and integrity of all stock within our warehouse. Working closely with the Inwards Goods Team, Buyers, and Store Management, you will use our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to monitor stock movements, investigate discrepancies, and support strong operational performance.
You will help maintain accurate master data, complete stock investigations, support cycle counts and stocktakes and ensure product quality and compliance. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working systematically, and contributing to continuous improvement across the store.
What you will be responsible for
Maintaining accurate stock levels through monitoring, investigation, and timely documentation
Ensuring product information, ticketing, and warehouse locations are up to date
Supporting cycle counts, stocktakes, and internal audits
Monitoring stock across all warehouse areas including reserve, master slots, staging zones, dated stock, and credits
Processing stock gains, losses, recalls, credits, and supplier returns
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Food Control Plan requirements, and Dangerous Goods regulations
Working collaboratively with Buyers, Inwards Goods, Warehouse Leaders, and other teams
Contributing to continuous improvement and upholding high operational standards
What you will bring
Experience in grocery, FMCG, stock control, warehousing or wholesale
Experience using SAP or similar systems
Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams
Proven problem‑solving ability and a proactive attitude
Physically fit, reliable, organised, and committed to high standards
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00
