Store Assistant

Four Square Oneroa is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Store Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role that offers plenty of variety, working across different areas of the store to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Whether you're helping customers, stocking shelves, preparing food, receiving deliveries, operating the checkout, or keeping the store looking its best, you'll play an important role in ensuring our customers enjoy a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience every day.

About the Role

As a Store Assistant, you will:

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with enquiries
• Operate checkouts and process customer purchases accurately
• Replenish shelves and rotate stock correctly
• Assist with food preparation and merchandising
• Help unload and put away deliveries
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping
• Keep aisles clear, tidy, and safe for customers and team members
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and store procedures
• Support other areas of the business as required
• Work collaboratively as part of a positive and supportive team

Hours of Work

This is primarily a full-time position (40 hours per week), however we are open to discussing flexibility for the right candidate.

Applicants must be available to:

• Work 5 days per week
• Work a mix of day and evening shifts
• Work at least one weekend shift each week
• Be flexible to support the needs of a busy retail environment

✅ Holds a current, valid New Zealand driver's licence

✅ Has the legal right to work in New Zealand

Preferred Experience

While not essential, the following would be an advantage:

• Previous customer service experience
• Supermarket or retail experience
• Fresh food handling experience
• Previous checkout experience
