Store Assistants

New World Pioneer is a large, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North. As a team we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards across every area of our store.

We are looking for two reliable and motivated Store Assistants to join our team in varied roles working across our Scannable, Online and Checkout departments. We have one part-time and one full-time position available.

 

About the Role

These are varied roles that would suit someone who enjoys working across different areas of the store, is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and is happy to take on different responsibilities throughout the day.

 

Your day will be split across three areas:

5:00am to 7:00am  Scannables
Supporting the Scannables team with filling, merchandising, stock presentation and general department duties.

7:00am to 10:30am Online
Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring orders are completed within required timeframes and to a high standard.

10:30am – 1:30pm Checkouts
Supporting our Checkout team and providing friendly, efficient customer service to ensure customers have a positive experience.

Previous supermarket, retail or customer service experience would be advantageous, but training will be provided.

Hours of Work

We have two positions available:

 

Position 1 Part Time

• Sunday: 5:00am – 1:30pm
• Monday: 5:00am – 1:30pm
• Tuesday: 5:00am – 1:30pm

 

Position 2 Full Time

• Wednesday: 5:00am – 1:30pm
• Thursday: 5:00am – 1:30pm
• Friday: 5:00am – 1:30pm
• Saturday: 5:00am – 1:30pm
