Store Manager

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead our dedicated team at New World Whitianga. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a leadership role where culture, community, and operational excellence meet. 

As Store Manager, you’ll work closely with our Owner Operator to plan and oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring we meet the highest possible standards across every department, from customer service to financial performance. You’ll lead by example, drive results, and inspire your team to be their best every day.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading and motivating department managers and store staff to deliver excellence across the board

• Driving store performance to meet financial, operational, and customer service goals

• Maintaining the highest standards in food safety, presentation, and team training

What we’re looking for:

• A proven track record in supermarket or retail leadership (5+ years in management preferred)

• Strong people leadership skills, confident, empathetic, and performance-driven

• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities

• Good understanding of budgets, costs, sales performance and ability to analyze and respond to sales and cost trends

• A passion for customer service and community engagement

• Experience across both Dry Goods and Fresh Food departments is an advantage
