Storeroom Manager
Monday to Friday, 6.45am - 3pm.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our busy team at New World Karori as our Storeroom Manager.
This role would suit someone with previous experience as a Storeroom or Grocery team member or supervisor looking to step up to taking charge.
In this hands-on roll, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the storeroom. This includes:
- Receiving and receipting all deliveries
- Preparing stock to be worked by the grocery team
- Ensuring Food Safety checks are conducted, and Health and Safety standards are maintained
- Co-ordinating with Department Managers to organise the flow of stock through to their departments
- Maintaining credit bays
- Managing the "back store" area including liaising with service providers for cardboard and waste collection
The successful applicant for this position is someone with the following attributes:
- Physically strong - heavy lifting is required
- Previous experience in inwards goods would be an advantage
- Well organised with good time management ability
- Willingness to "own" a space, and take responsibility for it
- Looks for opportunities to contribute to the team as a whole
A forklift license is not a requirement, as we do not operate a forklift.
