Supermarket Assistant (Bakery)

We currently have a vacancy in our bakery team, and your role will be pivotal in ensuring that we present well decorated products to our customers in a safe and timely manner. The role has a particular focus on the decoration and finishing of products, however here at PAK'nSAVE Kapiti we love to support our team to grow and develop a career. So, whether you are a seasoned baker or looking to start your career we want to hear from you. 

The role at a glance:

• Decorating and finishing baked goods - think icing, creaming, coating etc
• Packaging and displaying products in the bakery area of our store
• Assisting with other bakery tasks as directed by the Bakery Manager
• Assisting across other areas of the store as required
  

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be a reliable person with great time management
• Have a passion for baking and a desire to learn new skills
• Be detail focussed and have an eye for presentation
• Be physically fit, this role works in a commercial kitchen and requires you to be on your feet
• Follow health and safety policy, food safety policy and compliance procedures in the store.
  

Days and hours:

This is a part-time permanent role, with the scope to add more days in the future. Currently the need is Friday and Saturday 5:00am to 1:30pm.

• All applicants must have the ability to work within NZ and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
