Our stunning store, in the heart of the magical Mangawhai community, has been operating since October 2022. 

With grocery, butchery, seafood, deli, bakery, produce, liquor, chilled and frozen, online and checkout departments in a beautiful new store, we are bringing a new era of shopping to our wonderful customers.

We are people focused - our team and our customers are important to us!  We have a brilliant team here and we are proud of the many compliments and amount of positive feedback from customers on how happy our team are and how wonderful the store is with our friendly team.

We have an opportunity for a dedicated Foodie to join our amazing Deli team Part-time!

Supermarket Assistant - Delicatessen Department

Role:

• Provide an excellent level of customer service, ensuring a great customer experience
• Prepare, produce and serve deli offerings
• Ensure high presentation standards for the delicatessen & store
• Assistant product refinement and deli range expansion
• Provide full range whilst maintaining quality
• Build relationships within the department, wider team and leadership to get the very best results
• Follow H&S, Food Safety and store procedures
• Cleaning and preparing the department for the next day
• Permanent roster
• Shifts - Fridays 8am-5pm and Saturdays 6am-3pm - 18 hours per week

What are we looking for:

• Supermarket / retail experience advantageous but not essential - all training provided
• Food experience or a love of food and cooking an advantage
• Strong work ethic, reliable, honest and be a good team player
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Confidence & maturity to work unassisted at times
• Must be able to work a weekend shift each week
