Transport & Dispatch Manager

We’re recruiting for a Transport & Dispatch Manager to lead our team of drivers and continue to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
You will be leading our team of drivers and working collaboratively with our Loaders, Customer services, Sales team and Service team, ensuring that we provide the best possible service to our customers.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Managing the fleet, all maintenance records and suppliers
- Managing delivery routes, zones and unloading points - Run/Route Optimisation – reworking delivery runs as and when needed
- Sales Force Case Management - Customer communication
- Use of transport management software Microlise, E-Road, SAP
- Managing a team of around 15 drivers with additional runners
- Performance management, reporting, training and coaching of the Transport team
- Rostering, organising leave and daily time sheet approval of the Transport team
- Access Keys Register Management
- Customer Complaints and returns/Keg Returns
- Driving and delivering when required
- Managing Fleet cost and optimisation
- Manage Fleet appearance - Cleanliness and general upkeep
- Compliance with our FCP and meeting regulations for temperature control, storage and delivery
- Ensuring our Safety & Wellbeing policies and procedures are prioritised and adhered to every day
What are we looking for;
- Clean Class 2 Full License (minimum requirement), Class 4 License advantageous
- Experience leading a team and organising rosters within the Transport and Logistics sector
- A team player who doesn't mind getting stuck and leading from the front
- Effective communication skills both oral and written - Must be fluent in written and verbal English.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel etc), experience and knowledge in SAP advantageous
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to help others and think customer in everything they do.
- Have excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- A customer focused attitude and drive to provide an excellent customer experience
- A work ethic which is second to none
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Be flexible to work extra when required
- Be physically fit, willing and able to do heavy lifting 25kg+ (without existing injury that could be aggravated by this kind of work)
- Must have their own transport, early starts involved

Days and hours:
Monday-Friday 5.30am-2.30pm (Guide only)
Ability to be flexible is a requirement due to the nature of the position. Finish time can vary, and Saturday work may be required on occasion.
