Gilmours Tauranga – Warehouse Team Member

We are seeking experienced Warehouse Team Members to join our Chilled Fresh and Frozen (CFF) and Grocery departments.

Working as part of the CFF team involves working in the chiller and freezer, replenish the freezers and shelfs, operate a reach forklift, being physical fitness, and assisting customers on the shop floor.

At the Grocery department, you would work with our non-perishable products, beverages and packages replenishing shelves and serving customers on the checkout as needed. 

Working Hours for the CFF role:

Tuesday to Friday: 9:30am – 6:00pm and Saturday: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Saturday availability is essential)

Working Hours for the Grocery role:

Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 15:30 and Sunday 08:00 - 16:00 (Sunday availability is essential)

Key responsibilities

Operate a pallet jack

Operate reach forklift - not essential

Receive, store, and organise stock accurately

Replenish shelves and freezers using FIFO principles

Lift and move stock weighing up to 20kg, including climbing ladders

Work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Assist customers on the shop floor and checkout when required

Monitor product quality and report issues

What we are looking for 

Previous warehouse or food industry experience

Reach forklift experience and a current forklift licence

Physically fit to perform all tasks associated to the role

Good numeracy and literacy for stock counts and paperwork

Reliable, punctual, and consistent with attendance

Clear communication skills, team player and a customer-focused attitude
