What you’re responsible for

  • Utilising the Warehouse Monitor in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), you are to see and act upon all key processes that effect inventory, with the primary focus being to simulate customer sales orders.
  • This involves the allocation of consistent work for stock replenishment and customer orders, to get the best results and achieve agreed KPI’s around productivity, service level, and labour.
  • You will proactively provide hands on management of staff and manage staff moral to ensure productivity meets agreed targets, as well as meeting agreed wage and service level targets.
  • You will run ‘waves’ in EWM while ensuring a work balance across warehouse zones, assigning and monitoring the work required for ‘the wave’ (picking and replenishment of stock).
  • You will communicate and work closely with department leaders to ensure best practice is followed to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Enabling, through management of the wave and all direct reports, Gilmours North Shore to maximise sales and service levels. Ultimately the role is responsible for ensuring that our customers always receive an outstanding service experience.

 

Flexibility is required to work across all days of the week, and applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

 

 

What skills and experience you need

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work with teams, manage direct reports, and build relationships with the wider organisation. The SAP EWM Planner (Wave Manager) role involves working both independently, and in collaboration with team members across multiple functions.
  • You will be process driven, with high attention to detail, and the ability to see the ‘big picture’ and analyse what levers to pull to achieve the right outcomes for our staff and customers.
  • You will be curious, and keen to learn more; constantly looking at what’s possible with a focus on customers and results.
  • A high level of computer literacy, with experience analysing data, trends, and making insight-driven decisions.
  • You will be a problem solver, undergoing analysis of data and drawing insight, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • An understanding of warehouse operations, and / or supply chain, will be beneficial for this role, and experience in a medium to large supermarket or food services provider is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Similarly, experience with SAP and / or SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) is preferred, but not mandatory. Training will be provided to support your success in this role.
