Inventory Controller Supervisor (Cycle Counting)
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Inventory Controller Supervisor to lead our Cycle Counting Team and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our inventory. If you’re passionate about continuous improvement, have strong leadership skills, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced retail environment, we want to hear from you!
The Role:
As the Inventory Controller Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all cycle counting activities and driving a high standard of inventory accuracy across our operation. You’ll lead a small team, to coordinate daily and weekly counting schedules and investigate discrepancies. Work closely with the Inwards Goods Team, Buyers and Store Management to ensure the accuracy of our stock movements.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, proven experience in inventory control or warehousing, and the confidence to take ownership of inventory performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support the Cycle Counting team to achieve daily and weekly targets
- Plan and execute cycle count schedules based on operational priorities
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root‑cause analysis
- Maintain accurate stock records within our inventory system (SAP)
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors and optimise stock flow
- Collaborate with Inwards Goods team and Team Leaders to ensure correct stock movement
- Prepare and present inventory accuracy reports to management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies always
What are we looking for:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics (supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem‑solving skills
- Confident leadership with the ability to motivate and guide a small team
- Experience using WMS, ERP systems, SAP and MS Excel
- Good communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
- A proactive approach and continuous‑improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of results
- Physical capability to work in a retail environment when required
- Forklift License (but not essential)
