Night Forklift Driver

 

We are looking for a night forklift driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will preferably hold a current forklift license and be able to work palletized stock efficiently and accurately using a reach truck, however we are able to offer full training the right applicant.

 

The role requires good communication with the other overnight forklift drivers, the ability to self motivate and to achieve high presentation standards. This role is responsible for ensuring Grocery products are available for our customers to purchase and that stock is stored away tidily for day staff to access and replenish shelves. This means you need to be a productive and focused member of the team.

 

Specific Skills / Attributes

  • Current forklift license, prior experience, or aptitude to gain one.

  • Ability to work pallets quickly and properly.

  • Drop, fill and face product quickly and thoroughly.

  • Enjoy a fast paced role.

  • Fit and healthy as the role requires manual handling and some heavy lifting

Our Overnight function starts and 9pm, the hours and days of shifts will be discussed at the interview.

Pre-employment drug testing is required for this safety sensitive role.

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in driving a forklift however consideration will be given to a candidate who is willing to undertake forklift training and develop into the role. Prior exposure to night shift work would also be an advantage.

All applicants must be hold NZ residency or citizenship.
