Produce Assistant - Storeroom Assistant
Pakn'Save Kilbirnie is searching for an expert Forklift Driver who can command the Storeroom, ensure each delivery is managed safely and that stock is received, stored and available to the department through the day. This role requires a person who can work unsupervised, takes initiative and a person who is knowledgeable in all things Fruit and Veg.
The Produce department consists of 14 team members who ensure that the stock moved by the Stroreroom makes it way to our Customers, you will work alongside them to make this happen. The Produce department is the first to be seen by our customers, presentation, freshness and quality are essential to ensure our customers keep coming back. Key Tasks:
- Unloading trucks and delivery vans.
- Marking off all products that come through the back door ensuring the quantities received match the pick slips / invoices. This is managed both on paper and digitally.
- Processing all perishable deliveries as per company policy. This includes the timely movement of stock to storage areas and knowledge of temperature requirements.
- Placing stock appropriately in the correct locations ensuring appropriate stock rotation. This helps the wider team manage customer needs by ensuring stock is easily available.
- Ensuring the store room is kept clear of rubbish and blockages at all times allowing for clear access.
- Cleaning the outside areas of the storeroom – breaking down cardboard and placing in the appropriate bin and ensuring broken pallets and other rubbish are stored or dealt with appropriately.
- Undertaking additional housekeeping as required (e.g. sweeping the floors, dealing with spillages and breakages, cleaning shelves etc.)
- Processing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- Physically fit and able
- Full Drivers Licence
- Forklift/Reach Truck Licence
- Basic Computer Skills (operating a smart device for inventory management)
- 1 - 2 years experience in Retail or Storeroom/Inward Goods role
